Abstract
In this paper we are presenting a novel idea for note taking, a system that digitizes the content of an image captured by the camera of a cell phone for the whiteboard and transforms those contents into editable Microsoft Office OneNote Document. The system extracts the primitive shapes -table, rectangle, triangle, ellipse, circle, lines, rhombs, and parallelogram- drawn on the board, classify them and generate their corresponding digital object in Microsoft Office OneNote. Nonclassified objects as well as texts are drawn as bitmap and thus preserve the contents of the image. Several experimental results were executed to demonstrate the capability and accuracy of the developed system.
