Abstract
Beam-target double polarization asymmetries in theexclusive pion photoproduction reaction from the deuteron isinvestigated at photon energies close to threshold and near theÄ(1232)-resonance with inclusion of nucleon-nucleon and pionnucleonfinal state interaction effects. The elementary pionphotoproduction amplitude from the free nucleon is taken from theunitary isobar MAID-2003 model. The interactions in the finalnucleon-nucleon and pion-nucleon subsystems are taken in separableform. The role of final-state interaction effects on double spinasymmetries for circularly polarized photon and both vector andtensor polarized deuteron are found to be important. It must be takeninto consideration in the analysis of future experimentalmeasurements.
