Abstract
The relationship between predictors of universiti students’ self evaluation such as parental attitudes, and some demographic variables were examined in this study. A total of 726 university students consisted of 3944 males and 332 females participated in this study. “Social Comparison Scale” to measure participants’ self-esteem, “Parental Attitudes Scale” to measure parental attitudes, and “Personal Information Form” developed by the researchers to get personal information of the participants were employed. In data analysis, , Mann-Whitney-U Test, and Kruskal Wallis-H Test were used. The findings indicated significant differences between gender,living in, class degree, low-levels of democratic parental attitudes, high levels of protective/desirous parental attitudes, medium and high levels of autocratic parental attitudes.
