  • Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate for which perceptions of purposes mathematics teachers and classroom teachers use technology and what they consider when they integrate technology into their teaching. The sample of this research consists of 132 mathematics and classroom teachers who are teaching in Şahinbey, a town of Gaziantep city. The data were collected by a questionnaire developed by the researchers. According to the results of the research, the teachers are not willing to share resources and supplementary materials with students via Internet. Some of the teachers use word processing and spreadsheet software in order to develop course materials and assess student learning. On the other hand, most of theteachers do not use algebra and/or dynamic geometry software. Finally, a limited number ofteachers reported that before and during the class they reflect on which technology is the bestfor the subject matter, which learning gains are aimed, and how the technology should beutilized. Additionally, they stated that they plan future lessons by considering student feedbacksand the difficulties students experienced in previous lessons.
