  • Abstract
In this study, a five item Likert type scale to measure the teacher trainees’ self-efficacy perception towards statistics was aimed. As the result of the exploratory factor analysis done on the sample of 214 teacher trainees a 48 item Self-Efficacy towards Statistics Scale with a 0,94 Cronbach Alfa coefficient. The 48 items in the scale has been gathered in 7 factors without constituting a logical problem. These factors were named as General Statistics Skills (Cronbachalfa = 0,93), Research Skills (Cronbachalfa = 0,88), SPSS Skills (Cronbachalfa = 0,85), Time Management and Lecture Study Behaviours (Cronbachalfa = 0,82), Computer Usage Skills (Cronbachalfa = 0,79), Mathematics Skills (Cronbachalfa = 0,74) and Lecture Listening Skills (Cronbachalfa = 0,81). As a result, the scale has been identified as reliable for usage to evaluate the teacher trainees’ self-efficacy towards statistics and some suggestions were offered.
