Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the dissertations in the field of educational supervisionin universities of Turkey according to different variables. The research is a qualitative anddescriptive. As a result of the research, it was found that dissertations were distributed to 24different universities. When we analyze dissertations in terms of the institutions, it was foundthat 50.47% of dissertations examined were in social sciences institutions (54), 49.43% ofdissertations were in educational sciences institutions (53). In terms of the gender of thosewho write dissertations, it was found that 29.91% of them (32 dissertations) was written bywomen; 70.09% of them (75 dissertations) was made by men. In terms of the level, 86.92%of them (93 dissertations) was at master level, 13.08% of them (14 dissertations) were atthe doctoral level. In terms of the types of research, it was found that out of 107 educationalsupervision dissertations, 19.63% of them (21 dissertations) was qualitative, 80.37% of them(86 dissertations) were quantitative.
