Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the developments on training of secondary school geography teachers and to analyse employment of graduates of geography and geography teaching departments from 1982 to 2012. In this study, technique of documentary analysis has been used in accordance with descriptive analysis. At the end of the study developments concerning departments of geography and geography teaching alongside job opportunities of graduates of these departments have been taken into consideration.
