  • Abstract
Two of the most crucial concepts of Nietzsche’s philosophy are active and reactive will. Nietzsche’s perception of history seems just as his other perceptions seems as if it served an ultimate aim. And this could be evaluated as paving the way for active will in order to improve life and, thus, can be assessed as attaining the overman (Übermensch). In this study, the place and importance of active will in Nietzsche’s perception of history is tried to be revealed. In this regard, Nietzsche’s understanding of history will be read within the context of active will. Therefore, to what extend active will plays an important part with regard to Nietzsche’s philosophy will be revealed.
