Abstract
The aim of the study is to determine the attitudes of the pre-service class teachers towards the teaching profession and school principalship. The study group consists of 211 pre-service primary teachers attaining the second and fourth grades in the Faculty of Education of Recep Tayyip Erdogan University in 2011-2012 academic years. The data of the study is obtained by “the attitude scale for the profession of teaching” and “the attitude scale for school principalship”. In data analysis, free sample t test is performed and Pearson coefficient of correlation is calculated. As a result of study; the more pre-service teachers have positive attitudes towards teaching profession the less they have demand to become school principal.
