Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine doctoral dissertations and master’s theses on group counseling, group guidance and psycho-educational groups. It was intended to obtain a general picture as to which issues and topics are being investigated. For this purpose, “Dissertation and Thesis Examination Draft Form” which comprised of 14 themes including year, level, study group, study type, approach used, etc. was arranged. Ninety-three dissertations and master’s theses on group work that were written between 1978 and 2012 in Turkish universities were investigated. Descriptive statistics on the group work were provided. Findings and implications of the results were discussed.
