The Analysis of Emotional Intelligence and Emphatic Tendencey Levels of Youth According to Varibales of Age, Gender And Doing Sports

The aim of this research is to analyze emotional intelligence and emphatic tendency levels of high school students according to variables of age, gender and doing sports. 189 high school students from different schools in Burdur city center have participated in the research. At the end of the research it has been found out that the emphatic tendency abilities do not show a significant difference according to their genders. However it has been found out that the emotional intelligence levels of students statistically show significant difference on the behalf of the students who are older and do the sports with license. It has been determined that while the emotional intelligence levels of students show meaningful differences according to gender, the emotional intelligence levels of students do not statistically show a meaningful difference according to age groups and doing sports with license.
