Abstract
By 2012-2013 educational year “play and physical activities” course was implemented instead of physical education gradually at 1-4 levels of primary schools. In this study it was aimed to obtain feedbacks to improve the named lesson’s curriculum by identifying the similarities and differences between the curricula of Turkey and Canada in terms of curriculum components (targets, content, teaching-learning processes, measurement-assessment). The study was carried out according to the case study model of qualitative research. Considering the findings of the study it was found out that there were considerable amount of common/similar statements between targets of the curricula and the example activities with the explanations were placed in the curricula commonly. Additionally, it was stated that in the curriculum of Canada, the content was divided into themes and subject heading; the measurement tools were associated with the targets
