  • Abstract
    In the study, it is aimed to investigate the relationship between five-six-year-old children’s cognitive styles and social competence, aggression-anger and anxiety-introversion behaviors. The study is designed as a relational screening study which is one of the quantitative methods. The study group included 148 five to six years old pupils in a preschool in Kırklareli. In this study, Kansas Reflection-Impulsivity Scale for Preschoolers (KRISP), Social Competence and Behavior Evaluation Scale-30 (SCBE-30) and Personal Knowledge Form were used. The data were analysed using SPSS 20 package program and through Kruskal Wallis H Test, Chi Square Analysis. As a result of the study, there was a statistically significant relationship between children’s cognitive styles and their social competence while there was no significant relationship between aggression and anxiety-introversion.
