Observations on the Discourse of a lady about the word woman .

This paper presents supplementary data to the topic “Denominations for ‘Women’ in Turkish”. Before this the well-known Turkologist Mrs. Saadet Çağatay has been working in this field and published between 1961 and 1964 three fundamental contributions. In addition to this here we especially deal with such terms in Turkish and other Turkic languages used for women before and after giving birth, i. e. for the pregnant woman and the woman in childbed.
