Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to compose a theoretical review of concept, conceptualization and concept teaching. Within this scope, firstly the basic explanations of the concept were mentioned. Afterward, the conceptualization approaches based on philosophy-psychology and the models and strategies of concept teaching were discussed. In the last section, the opinions that concept teaching models and strategies are not useful in teaching everyday concepts and the necessity of studies that establish a relationship between the teaching of everyday concepts and vocabulary teaching had been evaluated using theoretical justifications. Additionally, a framework based on the research results was proposed for a concept teaching strategy about the teaching of everyday concepts. This framework can be projected tothe process of vocabulary teaching in Turkishlanguage education as mother tongue.
