The term of “social history” has a modern background; hence, there is not any original study on socio-economic life in the Classical Era of the Ottoman Empire, separately. Nevertheless, it’s possible to be some social history elements among the Ottoman state records or chronicles pages. Together with the literal statement of the Ottoman state records, the Ottoman chronicles tell us a certain number of case in humanely fashion, connected with social interactions, public legitimacy and illegitimacy issues. In this context, chronicle writers’ some characteristic approaches, like to be attentive social observers, and having some social sensibilities effect our social history learnings. We think that Mustafa Selânikî Efendi had these features substantially. Thus, we found out eighty five topics –with awareness of the tracing social history clues. Indeed, nearly every one of these topics belonged different socio-economic history study areas. In this manner, we eliminated purely economic topics. The others were classified as in two main topics. The first is social history issues in the context of reayastate relationships. The other is social history issues in the context of reayastate- religion relationships.
