Going beyond the resident duty hours in Pakistan

Madam, we have read Resident duty hours: Globallyaccepted standards and the situation in Pakistan by Juma andHosein with interest. We think that they have highlighted animportant problem which is usually brushed under the carpetsas it doesn t affect the senior faculty and policy makers in thePakistani health care system. But duty hours are only part ofthe problem that residents face in Pakistan.
