LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Incessant cry — rare presentation of neonatal parotitis

Madam, An 18-day-old female neonate, otherwisehealthy, presented with incessant cry for 2 days, increasedduring feeding. Baby was born out of nonconsanguineous marriage. It was an institutional normal vaginal delivery, at term. The antenatal and postnatal period was uneventful. The baby was exclusively breastfed. On examination bilateral tender firm swellings were found in both parotid regions (Figure-1). Neonatal reflexes, activities and vitals were normal.
