  • Abstract
Out of 510 samples, was isolated 3 of 250 samples of pigeon droppings, 1 of 170 samples of chicken excreta 1 of 90 dust collected from their house (1 pigeon house). All Cryptococcus neoformans isolates were subjected to the different biochemical tests, i.e. urease test, sugar assimilation (dextrose, maltose, sucrose and inositol) . All isolates showed the same pattern of reaction as the standard Cryptococcus neoformans strain, namely urease positive, sugar assimilate positive additional to application selective medium as Tobacco medium and Caffiec ferric citrate medium. Results were confirmed by molecular identification by Capsule-associated genes, CAP 10 and CAP 60 were amplified to explore the genetic profile of these genes. A garose gel electrophoresis analysis of the PCR products revealed the same expected product for each gene from all isolates). Moreover, their time for urease hydrolysis using Rapid urease hydrolysis were recorded
