Abstract
This study points at the techno-typological evaluation and function prospects of the findings of which are defined as awls. They were obtained from the systematic excavations carried out in Western Taurus caves are the key settlements presenting a quite rich chronological range in terms of Anatolian Prehistory and also findings from both Pleistocene and Holocene. The bone awls were obtained from the mentioned caves differentiate in terms of typological features and possible functional variances. Revealing the typological differences and technological features among the awls also is important. In accordance, 222 bone awls from Karain, 162 ones from Suluin and finally 76 awls from Öküzini have been evaluated within the study.
