Abstract
The coin in Tunay Demran Collection is the only specimen known of the issue which was struck in Thyateira in the name of empress Plautilla, wife of Caracalla. The coin bears on the obverse side the bust of Plautilla to right and the standing Aphrodite holding in the right hand an apple and leaning on a column with her left elbow on the reverse side. It is understood thanks to the reverse legend that it was struck during the magistrate period of Strategos Glykon Bakchios and it is dated to 202-205 AD.
