  • Abstract
    The purpose of this research is to investigate the expectations of teachers and mothers regarding the social skills that they consider critical for the success of 60-72 months old children. Personal Information Form and the Social Skills Rating System (SSRS / 3-5 years) Teachers and Parents Form were used to collect data. SSRS was filled by mothers (n=782) and teachers (n=78) of 60- 72 months old children. The results of the research indicated that while more than 50% of the teachers evaluated the twelve skills as critical , mothers evaluated the fifteen skills as critical . While the most important skill for the children according to the mothers was “Communicates problems to you , the teachers evaluated the skill “Controls temper in conflict situation with peers” as the most important.
