The Conception of Fuhûla in Al-Asma’î’s poet critics

Al-Asma’î’s Kitâb Fuhûlat al-Shu’arâ is a brief treatise to estimate of the Jahiliyya poets. He gives his judgements about the poets with using the term “Fuhûla” which means “virility of the male camel.” But wheter the poet “fahl” or not depends on some qualifications. He expresses these requirements when he gives his judgements. However these efforts don’t seem systematic.
