Abstract
Attenuation coefficients of the verifiedPolyamide6/Acrylonitrile ButadieneStyreneBlendssampleshave been determined by using experimental and Monte Carlo Neutral Particle version 5 (MCNP5) simulation. Experimental setup and MCNP5 program were designed using 60Co as a gamma ray source which counted by a NaI (Tl) detector. The experimental and MCNP results of the linear and mass attenuation coefficients have been compared at gamma energies of 1173.2 and 1332.5 keV. The results proved that the MCNP5 is very important tool that can be employed for determination the attenuation coefficients for different types of materials at different energies. A good agreement between the experimental data and MCNP5 results was obtained.
