  • Abstract
When the starting point of sociolinguistic studies is accepted as Saussure’s difference between Langue and Parole, various factors to affect sociability of Langue to change into individuality of Parole appear. Starting from Langue and Parole, this paper aims to focus on various factors affecting idiolect. Factors such as mental associations, socio-economic conditions or education level are left out. Since factors such as culture, language or social context, the tendency to use the language thought to be more “prestigious”, gender and age, audience design and topic of conversation can be thought to be broader, they form the focus of this paper. The goal of this paper is to explain the possible effects of these factors on idiolects via examples.
