Abstract
Sports psychology in Turkey has a short history. This study, which examines the development of sports psychology in Turkey in three stages, mainly deals with the situation of individuals academics lecturing in sports psychology between 1998 and 2011. A comparison has been made on sports psychology presentations in sports sciences congresses held since 1990. The position of sports psychologists is studied and the working environments of sports psychologists in Turkey are highlighted.
