Analysis of the Work of Atatürk named “Viewpoints Regarding the Instruction and Education of the Military” in terms of Leadership and Education

One of the most typical characteristics of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is the importance he gives in education. Since the beginning of his military service and later in his political and social life education has always remained in the forefront and presented many works on this issue. These works include his transmissions to the future generations. Here the work named “Viewpoints Regarding the Instruction and Education of the Military” he drew in 1916 is one of them. In this work we see the importance he gives in education and discipline and how these are reflected on his leadership qualities. He then transmitted the reflections of his vocational life he began with military education to his political and social life and shaped his leadership qualities. Foundation of the Republic of Turkey and the understanding of education at the basis of the modernization is the most important indicator of this point.
