NOTE FROMTHE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

The Malaysian Journal of Library Information Science is 13 years old last year (in 2008) and in human child terms we are no longer at an infancy stage but is maturing well. For the past 13 years we have been adopting the hybrid approach maintaing both the print and the electronic version of the journal. In the second year of its publication (1997) MJLlS was accepted for indexation by LISA (Library and Information Science Abstracts ) and the Journal of Academic Librarianship. In 1998, Library Literature included us in their abstracting database. We were finally indexed by the lSI Social Science Citation Index from our 2007 issue onwards.
