Intrabursal vein abrasion and thrombosis. An unusual complication of femoral osteochondroma

A Zl-year-old female with right distal femoralpedunculated osteochondroma is presented. She wasadmitted for severe lower limb pain, and swelling ofone week duration. Clinical findings supported deepvein thrombosis (D VT) but Doppler ultrasound,and venography were normal. Surgical explorationrevealed a large bursa around the tumor with a bigvein abraded and thrombosed inside the bursa.
