The Overview Law Number 5 Year 1999 Concerning The Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices and Unfair Business Competition In Indonesia

In Indonesia, the competition is regulated by Law No. 5 of 1999 concerning Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices and Unfair Competition. This law provides a balance between the interests of businesses, public interest and to protect consumers. In broad outline, these laws prohibit three actions of anti-competitive, in the form as anti-competitive agreements and activities, and also abuse of dominant position. This Law tried to create the effectiveness and efficiency in business activities, in order to improve the national economy efficiency, as an effort to improve people s welfare.
