  • Abstract
    The works for development of new cultivars in the world continues speedily in safflower. Studies on this subject have been accelerated in recent years in our country. Flower property, selfing and crossing technique in safflower breeding need that good to know, for continuous successfully of the programs to be created. Flowers in this plant are firmly and side-by-side in head. Flower organs are both gentle and nested. It is complicate crossing. Outcrossing in safflower is known to range from 0 to 100 %. Thus, there is need to a effective selfing. It is fact that typing clearly and transferring the processes both of crossing and inbred works would be helpful for the researchers whom concern about this subject. For this purpose, this article focuses on the techniques of crossing and inbred in safflower breeding.
