  • Abstract
    For understanding social change, series have an important position in terms of covering cultural data and reflecting the society. While modernity is reflected in TV series from a point of view covering opposites like modernity, old/new, traditional/modern, etc, the search for new writing styles in series narratives with the emergence of new media platforms is striking. Starting from this innovation, the study analyzes how individualism fact is presented today. Fi series among the first contents produced for new media platforms in Turkey was selected as sampling. Recent positioning of digital platforms as an important medium for circulating cultural meanings was effective in sampling selection. Accordingly, the study evaluated subjects such as how individualism was reflected in character portrayals, emotional states of people living in an individualized culture, blessing of individualism, me-us conflict, selfishness and self re-exploration. A descriptive analysis was conducted for the series through the cultural dimensions of Geert Hofstede. Hofstede’s collectivism-individualism classification was effective in the strengthening of study thesis. As a result, it was found that almost all Fi characters were presented with appearance underlining individualism approach
