Thinking Skills and Techniques To Enhance ESL Students’ Reading and Writing

In Malaysia s drive towards Vision 2020, the development of human resources, the talents, skills and creativity of the people is the ultimate goal. In response to that, currently in Malaysia s secondary schools, efforts have been made to teach students beyond the basic skills by equipping them with thinking skills. In order to make this idea a reality, there is a need to look at the implementation of thinking skills in ELT and its influence in the learning of English among secondary school students.
