Abstract
Crimes against the environment, for the first time in the Turkish Criminal Code No. 5237 restricting freedom has been under sanctions by criminal sanctions. Therefore, in the sense of criminal law has the characteristics of the first positive regulation. Crimes against the environment, law 181 and 182 the articles is organized into two articles. 181 in article, the shape of the crime intentionally handling, 182 in the shape of the crime of negligence are included. In our study, these two crime types, the elements of crimes and the prescribed sanctions for these crimes will be investigated.
