CONTROL OVER FINANCING OF ELECTION CAMPAIGNS AND POLITICAL PARTIES IN FRANCE AND TURKEY

Economic control of political life is a matter of importance in the countries which endorse the contemporary values of democracy and rule of law. In Western Europe, the process in this context, has led up to a large set of legal provisions and judicial precedence. An evaluation of French legal system with respect to this subject is useful as it may serve as a good example in the reaching of the aims in Turkey. On the other hand, one should not forget the importance of actual practice of legal provisions, in addition to a painstaking work process of preparation of legal provisions.
