Recurrence Relations for Single Moments of Generalized Order Statistics from Doubly Truncated Continuous Distributions

In this paper, we consider a general class of continuousdistributions given by 1- F (x )= [ah x + b ]^c recurrence relationfor single higher moments of generalized order statistics from thedoubly truncated case of the above class is derived. Recurrencerelations for single higher moments of ordinary order statistics and krecords(ordinary record values when k =1), have been obtained asspecial cases from generalized order statistics. These results areutilized to establish similar recurrence relations for Weibull, Paretoand Power function distributions.
