In order to identify the character of new racism, it is focused on the discourses which have appeared by relating a kind of natural disaster -earthguake to ethnicity. In this context, the racist discourses against Kurds which turned visible through ethnicizing the Van- Ercis earthguake on 23 October 2011 are analyzed in the light of new racism. The objects of analysis are the discourses selected from comments on Facebook and Twitter, newspaper reports and television broadcasts.
