Abstract
Ibn Kammuna (d. 683/1284) offered classification of the sciences in his various works and divided philosophy (al-ulum al-hikamiyya) into two main branches: theoretical and practical. He subdivided practical philosophy into three classes: ethics, economics and politics. He discussed the ethical and political issues in his al-Kalimat al-wajiza musthamila ala nukat latifa fi-l- ilm wa-l- amal that can be described as an example of literature of mirrors for princes. I considered in this article ethical and political views of Ibn Kammuna in a comparative manner.
