Perception of Islam in the Early Russian Chronicle

It is discussed in this article the point of view of the Russian Primary Chronicle which is significant in the historyography of Russia. There is evaluation of the claims by the author of the Chronicle about the conversions of Russians to Christianity. The article deals with the roots of anti-Islamic attitude and the implications of Byzantine Church thought to Russian Church also.
