The Marriage Between Muslim Women and The Men Belonging People of The Book in The Qur’anic Exegesis Literature

In this study, the marriage between muslim women and the men belonging to People of the Book will be discussed in the context of the Qur’anic verses and on the basis of Its commentary (tafsir). The relationship between marriage and religious belief has been dercribed in verses Bakara 2/221 and Maide 5/5 and Mumtehıne 60/10, in order of Mushaf in Qur’an. In this context, the basic question to be answered is “what are the reflections of this kind of marriage practises into theory between Muslim women and Ahlu’l‑Kitâb men?” In other words, “are these kinds of possible cases push the limits of interpretation of Qur’anic verses, or not?”
