Abstract
Selenite ion in an aqueous solution could be effectively trapped in the zirconium sulfate–surfactant micelle mesostructure (ZS). The reaction proceeded through anion exchange between HSO4- in ZS and HSeO3-. The maximum sorption capacity of ZS for HSeO3- was 2.47 mmol g^-1 at 303 K.
