    Gastrointestinal stromal tumor is one of the types of cancer in these organs, especially the stomach and small intestine. It causes symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, and reluctance to eat. Surgery is usually recommended for its treatment. Sometimes targeted drug treatment is used. Gastrointestinal stromal tumor is a type of cancer that occurs mostly in the stomach and small intestine. If you have symptoms related to stromal tumor or a doctor has diagnosed this cancer, stay with us in this article. This cancer starts from a special type of nerve cells. These cells are called interstitial cells. Sometimes cancer cells may arise from the precursors of these cells.
