Abstract
In order to prepare nanoparticles of LiCoO2, laser ablation of LiCoO2 in liquids (water, methanol, and cyclohexane) was carried out at 355 nm. Spherical particles of 10–200 nm in diameters were prepared, while Co3O4 were also produced due to liberation of Li. It was found that liberation of Li decreased in methanol and cyclohexane as compared to that in water.
