A simple method to fit the Lanchesters linear model for Ardennes Champaign

For fitting the Lanchesterʹs linear law with the Ardennes Champaign, we derive a simple method to obtain the attrition rate and the tactical factor. Comparing our result with the historical data, we find that our method is reliable with a small relative error. Therefore, our method is applicable to decision-making during a hurriedly changing and chaos-communicating combat field.
