Charge correlation in metal/polymer contact

Research into causes of charge transfer between metals and polymers is hampered by the problem of scatter or variation in the static charge measurement. We therefore investigated the cause(s) of variation in the charge transfer measurement using statistical analysis. We calculated the coefficient of correlation between charges measured at various points on the polymer surface and also between different metal contactors. The result shows that the variation may be due to the changes in the properties of the polymer, among others.
