Abstract
An experimental study of tracer gas dispersion and airborne moisture movement was performed in a fully furnished, two-storey test house. Two independent multi-zone models were used to simulate the experimental data and good agreement was obtained in the inter-model comparison and with the tracer gas dispersion. Comparison between the experimental data on moisture movement and the airborne transport model showed that, to accurately model the airborne moisture movement, a representation of adsorption by indoor surfaces has to be included. For the correct description of the interzonal airflow, the representation of the two-way flow through open doors as well as of the stack effect in a two-storey house were found to be very important.
