Flow control: Current status and future prospects

A workshop on Flow Control Fundamentals and Practices was held in Cargèse, Corsica, France, during the week 1–5 July 1996. Selected papers from this Workshop are contained in this special volume of the Journal. The present closing article outlines the different presentations, reports on the outcome of the eight panel discussions which were held on the last day of the five-day workshop, and gives the complete meeting program and list of participants.
