On crack perturbation in thermoelastic media

Explicit asymptotic model is presented for a singularly perturbed boundary value problem of the uncoupled thermo-elasticity. Interaction of a crack and a small inclusion with di€erent elastic and thermo-elastic moduli is analyzed. Asymptotical formulae are derived for the crack trajectories in terms of Po lya-SzegoÈ tensors associated with the defects.
