Intramammary lymph node metastases — a rare presenting sign of breast cancer

Lymph nodes are commonly seen in the breast tissue on mammographic examination but reports of findings suspicious of metastatic change are few. Two patients with intramammary lymph node metastasis detected by mammography are presented; in both of these a change in the intramammary node over time was the major reason for mammographic suspicion of breast cancer.
