Abstract
A thermodynamic modeling and optimization of the Al-La, Al-Ce and Al-Nd systems has been carried out on the basis of the literature information available. The compound energy formalism has been used to describe the thermodynamic functions of either solution and stoichiometric phases present in the systems. Present results are discussed and compared to the previous optimizations.
